I won't even start counting how long it's been since I last posted something on this blog. There is no excuse. Well, there is, but there's really not. Let's just say, life happens. I got too busy to keep up with regular updates. Especially once it got closer to the house actually being done. Not to mention moving in, yadda, yadda yadda. Then it had been so long and I said I was going to get back to it...yeah you already know where that's going.
For those of you who are concerned, yes, the cabinets are done. Actually the whole house is done and we've been living there for some time. Actually this past November was our first year in the house. A LOT has happened in that time, so no need to try to recap it all now. I'm setting up a gallery on Picasa that I will put all the pictures of the house (and any future pictures). That way, I won't have to take up too much space here trying to get you caught up on where we are now.
Also I'm sure you're wondering, "Well now that the house is finished, what's to become of http://quietstreamdrive.blogspot.com?"
First, I appreciate your concern, that's very thoughtful of you. Second, the building of our first house was a starting platform to get the blog started. It was a pretty major event in our lives so we wanted to keep people posted about the progress. Especially since we had just moved at the time, a lot of our family and friends are out of town. So it's an easy way to keep up with people (or I guess, have them keep up with us). I say all this to say, even though the house is finished, there's still plenty to talk about. Even if there's nothing to talk about, I'll make something up.
Now I realize as well, where I went wrong before. I was basically trying to make updates like everyday. I won't be doing that anymore. We're not that interesting that stuff just happens everyday that's post worthy. So maybe once a week at the most I'll make a new post. Possibly just to say that I've got new pictures up on the Picasa page or something like that. Then again, maybe something cool does happen, maybe I post about it more often than normal. You never know. That's the beauty of it. I feel another question brewing in your head. You're thinking, "How do we know you won't just leave us again like you did last time? We don't like our emotions toyed with." Again, very good question. Here's your answer: you can subscribe to the blog. That's right, you can subscribe and keep up with new postings on this very blog. This next part is going to blow your mind. Even though the word subscribe implies monetary exchange, it's totally free!
So that's basically the blog in a nutshell (totally thinking about Austin Powers right now). Keep an eye out.
